Beginning
a band program not only allows us the unique opportunity to
set the standards we desire, but also allows us to choose
our path.
The Coral
Glades High School Band will experience every facet of music.
The marching,
jazz, and concert bands will perform at the annual FBA Festivals
as well as throughout the community. In addition, the marching
band will perform at all football games, parades and at marching
band competitions.
Throughout
the year all bands will participate in multiple concerts.
Concert band
will begin almost immediately; jazz band will begin rehearsing
in late October and will be held after school.
Band students
will have the opportunity to be involved in other ensembles
such as brass and woodwind choirs, chamber ensembles, and
ORCHESTRA. These ensembles will be based on auditions, and
rehearsals will be held after school.
There will be a fair share fee for
the year that will help us with operating costs. This fee
of $225 will help us with clinicians, band camp, supplies,
and many other expenses we must cover. With fees running up
towards the $800-1,000 dollar mark within this county, we
feel this fee is well below average. It is a necessary expense
to get any band program going. The students will also need
to purchase marching shoes, gloves, and band t-shirt, as well
as pay for uniform and instrument rental.
You can also support your band by selling spaces in our
printed program. These ads will be printed in our brand new
program that should be available at our first ever marching
band performance. Do not miss this opportunity! Please download
the self-explanatory form and bring your sales(and checks)
to the first day of Band Camp or mail them to:
Bill Beson, P.O.Box 9282, Coral Springs, FL 33075.
Have questions? Please do not hesitate to call or email Bill.
ALL ADS MUST BE IN BY THE NEW DATE
OF AUGUST/27/2004.
