Chamber Orchestra at Dillard High School

Our Jaguar Orchestra received 3 excellents and a superior at the
FOA District Festival on Feb 24, at Dillards H.S.
This was our first ever assessment.
Congratulations to all for the effort and for this beautiful result.

Orchestra News

Orchestra is going well!
Student performance in class is improving, and Ms. L is very pleased.

Current Orchestra fundraisers include the Band vs. Orchestra Penny War, and the Domino's pizza cards. The Domino's cards were a great success and raised some much needed funds for the Orchestra.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR ORCHESTRA AND ORCHESTRA PARENTS:

All-State Auditions October 2 at Dillard Times TBA

Orchestra parent meeting October 7 at 7PM in the band room.
Topics to be discussed include upcoming USF trip with Band, Winter concert info, and fundraising. Let's see everyone there!

Coral Glades High School orchestra program will consist of a String Orchestra and a Symphonic Orchestra.

All string players will be required to participate in the String Orchestra class.

This ensemble is string instruments only and provides the opportunity to develop individual practice skills, repertoire, and large ensemble rehearsal techniques.

The Symphonic Orchestra will be an auditioned based ensemble.

The auditions will be open to all string and wind players.

Both orchestras will participate in FOA Festival, Solo & Ensemble Festival, at District and State level.

They will travel and compete throughout the year.

There will be a nominal orchestra fee of $100 in order to cover polo shirts, clinicians/clinics and basic operating costs.

All seating and ensemble audition material will come from the 2004-2005 9th and 10th grade All-State material, regardless of grade level. Please check the FOA website for information.
