Eddy Falcon
Visual Technician 2009 - Present
|
|
Eddy who is a native of New York City, began his Drum Corps experience at a very young age with the Cadets
of New York City, a small Division 2/3 corps out of Manhattan. He marched there for 4 years playing mellophone and trumpet.
After getting a taste of what the activity had
to offer, Eddy branched out and decided to march senior corps. In 2004 he played mellophone with a New Jersey based corps named The Bushwackers, and in 2005, he made the trip up to
Syracuse, NY to play soprano with the Brigadiers. After being exposed to many different styles and techniques, Eddy realized he wanted to be a part of a world class DCI group. In
2006 and 2007 he marched trumpet with the 9-time World Champion Cadets Drum and bugle corps where he was surrounded by a very talented group of musicians and educators.
After years of drum corps touring, Falcon decided to continue his musical journey by playing for off broadway shows in NYC. In the summer of 2008, Falcon hit the road again joining
the cast of "Blast!" where he played trumpet and snare drum. After Eddy's tour with "Blast!" he was casted for a new show named "Drumline Live" where he played trumpet, snare drum,
and tenors. "Drumline Live" toured the United States for several months, then went overseas to Japan and Korea.
Eddy's drum corps teaching experience includes visual staff
for The Cadets and the brass staff of Vision Elite. Falcon has taught many high school bands up and down the east coast including Passaic High School (Passaic, NJ) and West Boca High
School (Boca Raton, Fl). Aside from teaching and performing, Eddy also designs shows and writes drill/choreography for numerous groups all over the country. He is excited to join
the staff here at Coral Glades!
